1.3 What Your Server Includes

Your CG2100 server includes the following components:

• One 2U chassis

• One Intel® Server Board T5520UR with DDR3 memory slots (memory not included)

• Six removable hard drive carriers

• One DC or AC power subsystem: one hot-swappable power supply module and a power

distribution board. (A filler panel is in the other power supply bay. For redundancy

another separately orderable power supply module must be added.)

• Six fan assemblies for cooling the processor(s), DIMM(s), PCI slot(s), and other

internal components in three cooling zones.

• A front panel board ,LED/switch board, and telco alarms module (TAM) board

• Internal cables and connectors

1.4 Product Accessories

The following list shows the separately orderable components and optional accessories

available for inclusion in the initial order or to have as spares. Refer to the CG2100

Carrier Grade Server Configuration Guide for a complete list of orderable spares and

options. The Configuration Guide can be found on the Kontron Support Website at

http://us.kontron.com/support/ (search for CG2100, click on Product Downloads, then

Ordering Guide).

• Six-core processor(s) from the Intel

® Xeon® processor 5600 series and appropriate

heat sink(s)

• RDIMM/UDIMM DDR3 memory

• SAS or SATA hard disk drives (system maximum = six HDDs)

• Hard disk drive carriers

• SAS/SATA control module for basic hard drive support

• Hardware RAID 5 and 6 kit

• Optional battery backup (IBBU) for hardware RAID

• SMART* embedded USB solid state drive (for use on front panel board and baseboard)

• SD flash module for up to two SD cards

• 2U PCIe active “butterfly” riser (three full-height/full-length PCIe slots and two

low-profile PCIe slots

• 2U PCIe/PCI-X active “butterfly” riser (two full-height PCI-X 133 slots, one full-

height/full-length PCIe slot, and two low-profile PCIe x4 slots)

• 2U PCIe passive riser (three full-height/full-length PCIe slots)

• Power cord(s)

• AC or DC power supply module (600W) for redundancy

• GCM4 network interface module to enable Intel

® Remote Management Module 3(RMM3)
