The basic modes must be combined to build a test scenario which tests the flash

memory completely. The test goal is not to test the flash device itself but the correct

connection to the CPU’s data and address lines. Data line connection is done by the

testpattern used in the ppc-flash utility, which includes all combinations of adjacent

data lines. The following testpattern is used:

0xFFFFFFFF,0x00000000,0xCCAAAACC,0xAAAACCAA }

0 - command executed successfully

-1 - an error occured during execution

Failure impact

• PPC-00060008 diagnostic code results from an flash read/write error. The impact

is loss of applications running on carrier host processor. This impacts at least

Ethernet functionality and command line interface.

SEEPROM test.

Description

Read and the SEEPROM used for storing low-level board configuration e.g. SPD data

for RAM and check data for consitency.

Failure impact

• PPC-00060009 diagnostic code results from an SEEPROM read error. The impact

is loss of applications running on carrier host processor. This impacts at least

Ethernet functionality and command line interface.
