2.2 Backplane

The OM6062R backplane provides the following basic functions:

• Fabric interconnectivity for:

• Gigabit Ethernet

• SATA

•PCIe

• Input power distribution and control for payload, management, and MCH (MCMC) power

• PCIe clock generation and distribution

• IPMI monitor and control interfacing (IPMB-L)

• Backplane FRU data storage (EEPROM)

• MCMC I²C monitor and control interfacing

• Cooling unit (fan) monitor and control

• Interfacing for optional mezzanine MCH module
